About your Practitioners:
Maureen is a very experienced practitioner specialising in remedial massage. She is the founder of Fusion Massage Training® and travels extensively around the world teaching and training practitioners.
Maureen Abson is the author of "Healing Massage: An A-Z Guide for More than Forty Medical Conditions", Lotus Press and North Atlantic Books 2016 and available via Amazon or contact us for local collection.
Maureen initially trained with Brandon Raynor qualifying in Raynor Massage at the highest possible level before going on to develop her own style of massage in Fusion Massage.
In association with Stage Hands Massage she also worked backstage at concerts, including for the Manchester legs of European Tours for Alicia Keys, the heavy metal band Disturbed, Usher, Foreigner and Roger Waters (Pink Floyd). She has also trained in anatomy and physiology with VTCT and with Gil Hedley in intensive integral anatomy dissection workshops and in oncology massage.
Maureen went on to train in RomiRomi and MiriMiri massage which is the traditional and powerful Mouri massage / healing, treatments are available at the Preston clinic.
Maureen is a member of the Complimentary Therapists Association and of the International Natural Therapists Association, a Certified Hopi Ear Candling Therapy Practitioner and has VTCT L3 in Indian Head Massage Training.
Prior to moving into Massage and Naturopathy Maureen worked as a teacher in a men's high security prison, then as a University Lecturer lecturing and training secondary school teachers. She has also worked within the homelessness sector and is a governor of a local High School.
She also ran her own successful Management Training company and is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management and holds Graduateship of the City and Guilds Institute. She is also possibly one of a very small number of massage practitioners who also has a CSCS card for building site Health and Safety management!
Savannah is a fully qualified massage practitioner and also as a counsellor. Savannah trained with Maureen Abson in the summer of 2012 and divides her time between family, counselling and massage.
Sarah is also a fully qualified massage practitioner who splits her working time between massage and work as a HCA at Royal Preston Hospital. She has significant experience working with elderly people with dementia and also completes house calls for clients with a disability if they are unable to travel to us for treatment.
