The DORN METHOD treatments

The DORN Method is a safe and gentle treatment designed to alleviate the cause of back and joint pain. It is used to correct misalignment of the spine and is effective in treating of:

Back pain - joint pain - headaches and migraines - joint problems such as hip, knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle and jaw problems - leg length difference - sciatica.

A DORN treatment combines gentle in-clinic treatment with home self help exercises which should be carried out daily. If these exercises are followed regularly then only 2 or 3 DORN treatments should be needed.

Dorn is a non manipulative therapy which focuses on helping joints and vertebrae slip back into their natural position through self determined movements of the client

DORN originated in Germany where it is now one of the most widely used therapies for back pain, used by Therapists, Doctors and other healthcare professionals.

DORN is free of unpleasant side effects, completely safe and an innocuous treatment. No medication is required. It is a very safe treatment, without a single report of client injury in its history

Where the body is very tight and muscles are pulling the joints out of alignment it is possible - and advisory - to first have a Raynor Massage Treatment to relax the muscles and then to complete a DORN treatment to bring the skeleton into balance.
This treatment can be carried out fully clothed but please wear light clothing for your treatment.

During a treatment you work with the practitioner, gently swinging your leg or arm, or slowly shaking your head while the practitioner places a light touch along your spine.

Treatment takes around 40 minutes and we work from the sacrum at the bottom of the spine to the axis bone just under your skull. The mixture of very gentle pressure and dynamic movement allows your spine to balance itself and correct misalignment.

DORN is a safe treatment but you should not have a treatment if you have recently had a spinal trauma without first having an x-ray to rule out fractures. It is also not suitable for people with osteoporosis, bone cancer and disc prolapses that involve leg paralysis.
