About the practitioner:
Maureen Abson is a Naturopath specialising in treatment through massage. She is the International Manager for the Brandon Raynor School of Massage and Natural Therapies and one a small number of Raynor Massage teachers worldwide.
Maureen trained directly with Brandon Raynor qualifying in Raynor Massage at the highest possible level, she continues to work with Brandon and is part of the small worldwide team of Raynor teachers, travelling to teach the massage worldwide.
Maureen continues to develop her practice and Naturopathic healing skills. She is a lifelong, full research member of the Californian Flower Essence Society and offers treatments using Bach flower remedies.
In association with Stage Hands Massage she also works backstage at concerts, including for the Manchester legs of European Tours for Alicia Keys, the heavy metal band Disturbed, Usher, Foreigner and Roger Waters (Pink Floyd). As its International Manager, Maureen continues to work closely with the Massage School and is at the forefront of developments in treatments.
She is a member of the International Natural Therapists Association, a Certified Hopi Ear Candling Therapy Practitioner and has VTCT L3 in Indian Head Massage Training.
Prior to moving into Massage and Naturopathy Maureen worked as a teacher in a men's high security prison, then as a University Lecturer lecturing and training secondary school teachers. She has also worked within the homelessness sector.
She also ran her own successful Management Training company and is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management and holds Graduateship of the City and Guilds Institute. She is also possibly one of a very small number of massage practitioners who also has a CSCS card for building site Health and Safety management!
